long live the outdoors

Let's be honest: we all have at least one functional outdoor piece hanging in our wardrobes. And soon enough, we realize it’s not just the shell jacket, but also the matching Cordura pants and the Gore-Tex-trimmed trail shoes. Oh, and let's not forget the foldable, heat-resistant, ultralight titanium mug from Snowpeak, which we use every morning, right from our kitchen instead on the top of a mountain summit on a gas cooker at 2° degrees. Looking back over the past few years, outdoor activities have played a significant role, not only in terms of health benefits and socializing but also in fashion. But who are we to judge? We ourselves are passionate outdoor enthusiasts who use certain gadgets and gear both in everyday life and out in the wild.

Now and then, you might catch us at a Sunday "social run" or in the bouldering gym. Pretty sure that some of you may have heard of a "new" platform called Strava, but that’s a topic we’ll revisit later. Most people find a passion for certain sports, others don’t—and that’s completely fine.

A great example is running or hiking. It doesn't take much—just a decent pair of running or hiking shoes, some endurance, and a bit of discipline (completely different from cycling, where you get strange looks if your minimalistic bike costs less than 7K and doesn’t match your cycling gear). The best part? Anyone can give it a try, regardless of what the scale says or their base fitness level.

We've met all kinds of people at runs, and that’s what makes it so fun and exciting. After the run, at one of the popular cafes in town there’s usually good coffee, a well-earned cardamom bun, we have the chance to hang out with other interesting people—NICE.

And that’s where it all starts. We are wearing stylish, functional gear that looks great both during and after the run. I bet by now you've thought of the usual brands from Switzerland, France, or the USA.

We are increasingly observing a shift in how brands literally bring communities together by organizing activations such as hiking, running, or similar activities. These activations usually take place directly in the appropriate terrain, allowing those involved the opportunity to test the brands' latest products on-site. This way, people get a feel for the products and may even identify with the activity and connect with others.

To provide everyone with an unforgettable experience, transportation is usually arranged from the city to reach the activation site together. We have already had the pleasure of taking part in such adventures several times, and not only did we meet interesting people with whom great friendships developed, but we also got to test the latest products and innovations. In our opinion, it is important to meet as a community outside of normal city life, spend time in nature, and escape the fast-paced everyday routine.

But even in the heart of the city, the blend of outdoor gear and fashion creates an exciting, functional aesthetic. Whether you're striding through concrete-covered streets or trekking along a mountain path, this look lets you embody the spirit of adventure wherever you go.
